About Rideau Skating Club

Rideau Skating Club (RSC) is dedicated to fostering the fundamentals of skating and figure skating for individuals of all ages and abilities.

We are committed to helping every skater reach their goals by offering high-quality coaching, facilities, programming, and leadership in a supportive and inclusive environment.

RSC is proud to be recognised under the CanSkate Excellence Program, which celebrates clubs across Ontario that demonstrate best practices in delivering the CanSkate program. This three-tiered recognition highlights clubs that are beginning the process, those meeting core standards, and those that exceed expectations.

Rideau Skating Club was one of the first 16 clubs in Ontario to achieve the Exceeded Standard level of CanSkate Excellence.

Rideau Skating Club is a proud Skate Canada-sanctioned club, operating under the Ontario Section of Skate Canada. With over 500 members, RSC offers a wide range of programming for recreational and competitive skaters alike.

  • Fall & Winter: Mike O'Neil Arena in Manotick (September to March)

  • Spring & Summer: Fred Barrett Arena in Findley Creek (April to August)

RSC was founded in 1976 and has grown steadily thanks to the dedication of its volunteer-driven community. The club is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected annually at the Annual General Meeting each spring.

We communicate with members through this website and notices posted on the Club bulletin board at the arena. Members are encouraged to stay informed and reach out with questions, concerns, or feedback via our Contact Us page.
