2026 Rideau Skating Club Annual General Meeting
NOTICE OF MEETING
To: RSC Board of Directors, Club Members, and Coaches
Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Rideau Skating Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 1:30 PM (EST).
The meeting will be held in person at:
Greely Community Centre: Hall B
1448 Meadow Drive, Greely, Ontario, K4P 1B1
This AGM provides members and observers with the opportunity to review the past season, stay informed on club activities, and participate in shaping the future direction of the Rideau Skating Club.
The meeting agenda and supporting documents will be made available shortly. Elections and amendment voting will take place during the meeting.

Call for Nominations: 2026–2027 Board of Directors
Rideau Skating Club will hold its Annual General Meeting in person on Sunday, June 7, 2026, during which elections for the Board of Directors will take place.
In accordance with Section 4.1 of the Club By-Laws, the Board shall consist of a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of ten (10) elected members. At least one member must be a certified or registered skating coach.
The Rideau Skating Club relies on the dedication of volunteers, and there are many ways to contribute with varying levels of commitment.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting
- Are interested in shaping the future of the Club
- Enjoy planning or supporting events
- Like collaborating to support others’ development
- Have an interest in governance, structure, and policy
- Bring legal expertise (e.g., contracts)
- Are passionate about figure skating and community growth
Eligible individuals are invited to submit an application for consideration. Please note that applications are for a position on the Board as a whole, not for a specific role. All terms are one (1) year.
All eligible nominees will be presented in a report by the Nominations Committee prior to the election.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally capable of managing property
- Must not have declared bankruptcy
- Must not be a paid employee of the Club
- Must be a Club member (or become one within 10 days of election)
- Must agree to follow Club, Skate Canada, and Skate Ontario policies and by-laws
Application Process
To stand for election, please submit your intention by email to secretary@rideauskating.ca no later than 6:00 PM on May 30, 2026.
